Repairs in Allestree

Getting an appliance repaired in Allestree

Our engineers repair appliances in homes right across Allestree, from the roads around Allestree Park down to Darley Abbey, Markeaton and Mackworth on the city side. All four sit in DE22, so one postcode check confirms any address.

If the dishwasher or washing machine is hidden behind a cabinet door, choose the built-in option when you get your quote. The price then allows for sliding the appliance out of its housing and refitting the door and plinth afterwards. Leave it where it is, and mention a tiled floor or a tight gap that could make it harder to pull out.

Before we arrive

Three things that help the visit.

  1. Find the model number

It’s on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back. A photo of it, and of any error code, helps the engineer bring the right parts.

  2. Tell us how it’s fitted

Freestanding or built in, stacked, in a utility room or garage. Clear the way, but leave the appliance where it is.

  3. Mention access and parking

A permit, a gate code, a shared entrance or stairs. A quick note helps the engineer arrive on time and prepared.

Booking a repair in Allestree

Do you cover Darley Abbey, Markeaton and Mackworth as well as Allestree?

Yes. They share Allestree’s DE22 postcode district, and our engineers cover all of it. Put your full postcode into the quote form to confirm your street and see the labour price.

My washing machine or dishwasher is behind a cabinet door. Can it be repaired where it is?

Usually, yes. Choose the built-in option in the quote form so the price allows time to slide the appliance out and refit it. Leave it in place, and mention anything that could make it harder to pull out, such as a plinth, a tiled floor or a tight housing.

Does the online quote include parts?

No. The quote covers labour: the engineer finding the fault and carrying out the repair. If a part is needed, the engineer tells you which one and what it costs, and waits for your go-ahead before fitting it.

How soon can an engineer come to Allestree?

Visits are available on the same or next day where the diary allows. Pick a preferred day and a morning or afternoon slot when you book, and the team checks the engineers’ diaries and contacts you to confirm the appointment.

About Allestree

Allestree appears in the Domesday Book as Adelardestreu, a small outlier of the manor of Markeaton. In 1781 it was sold to the Evans family, the cotton spinners of neighbouring Darley Abbey, and Allestree Hall was built in the early years of the following century. The lake in its grounds was created in 1825 for Sir William Evans.

The hall’s former estate is now Allestree Park: around 300 acres of woodland, grassland and water owned by the city and designated a Local Nature Reserve. Its council golf course closed in 2020. Most of the suburb around it was built in the twentieth century, turning the old village into one of Derby’s larger northern suburbs.
