Repairs in Alvaston

Getting an appliance repaired in Alvaston

Our engineers cover the whole of Alvaston, from the streets around Alvaston Park to Boulton, Crewton and the homes near Pride Park. All of them are in DE24, the district that also takes in Sinfin, Allenton and Osmaston.

A fridge freezer that’s slowly warming up is worth acting on early. Keep the doors closed, move anything that can’t wait to a cool box, and note whether it’s the fridge, the freezer or both. That tells the engineer whether to start with the fans and sensors, the defrost system or the sealed cooling system.

Before we arrive

Three things that help the visit.

  1. Find the model number

It’s on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back. A photo of it, and of any error code, helps the engineer bring the right parts.

  2. Tell us how it’s fitted

Freestanding or built in, stacked, in a utility room or garage. Clear the way, but leave the appliance where it is.

  3. Mention access and parking

A permit, a gate code, a shared entrance or stairs. A quick note helps the engineer arrive on time and prepared.

Booking a repair in Alvaston

Do you cover Boulton, Crewton and Pride Park too?

Yes. They’re in the DE24 district with Alvaston, and our engineers cover all of it. Your full postcode in the quote form confirms the address and shows the labour price.

I live in a flat or maisonette. What should I tell you?

The floor you’re on, whether the stairs are shared or narrow, any entry code or intercom, and where a van can park. If the appliance is in a garage or outbuilding instead, say so. It lets the team allow the right time for the visit.

Does the online quote include parts?

No. The quote covers labour: the engineer finding the fault and carrying out the repair. If a part is needed, the engineer tells you which one and what it costs, and waits for your go-ahead before fitting it.

How soon can an engineer come to Alvaston?

Visits are available on the same or next day where the diary allows. Pick a preferred day and a morning or afternoon slot when you book, and the team checks the engineers’ diaries and contacts you to confirm the appointment.

About Alvaston

Alvaston is recorded in the Domesday Book, and a Saxon coffin lid found built into its medieval church shows there was a church here even earlier. It stayed a small village until the end of the nineteenth century, when it began to grow into the suburb it is today.

Alvaston Park is its best-known feature. The land was given to the public in 1913 by William Curzon of Breedon Hall and laid out by William Barron & Son of Borrowash, and its five-acre lake opened in 1923. The line of the old Derby Canal, which opened in 1796 and closed in 1964, now carries a path south towards Chellaston and Melbourne.
