Getting an appliance repaired in Chaddesden

From the streets around Chaddesden Park to the edges of Oakwood and Spondon, our engineers repair appliances in homes across Chaddesden. It’s all within the DE21 district.

If the washing machine has stopped with water in the drum, don’t run another cycle. Leave the water where it is unless it’s leaking, and note any error code on the display. A blocked pump filter is a common cause, but a failed drain pump or a blocked hose looks the same from the outside, so the engineer tests before replacing anything.

Before we arrive

Three things that help the visit.

  1. Find the model number

It’s on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back. A photo of it, and of any error code, helps the engineer bring the right parts.

  2. Tell us how it’s fitted

Freestanding or built in, stacked, in a utility room or garage. Clear the way, but leave the appliance where it is.

  3. Mention access and parking

A permit, a gate code, a shared entrance or stairs. A quick note helps the engineer arrive on time and prepared.

Booking a repair in Chaddesden

My washing machine is in the garage or an outbuilding. Can it be repaired there?

Usually, yes. Tell us where it is when you book. The engineer needs a working socket, enough light to see by and room to pull the appliance forward, so clear a little space around it beforehand.

Do you cover Oakwood and Spondon as well?

Yes. Both are in the DE21 district with Chaddesden, and each has its own page. The quote form confirms any DE21 address and shows the labour price.

Does the online quote include parts?

No. The quote covers labour: the engineer finding the fault and carrying out the repair. If a part is needed, the engineer tells you which one and what it costs, and waits for your go-ahead before fitting it.

How soon can an engineer come to Chaddesden?

Visits are available on the same or next day where the diary allows. Pick a preferred day and a morning or afternoon slot when you book, and the team checks the engineers’ diaries and contacts you to confirm the appointment.

About Chaddesden

Chaddesden is recorded in the Domesday Book as Cedesdene. Its parish church, St Mary’s, was rebuilt around 1347 by Henry Chaddesden, Archdeacon of Leicester, and still has its fourteenth-century chancel, a fifteenth-century rood screen and an unusual chalice-shaped font.

For centuries the village belonged to the Wilmot family, whose brick hall of around 1726 stood beside the church. The estate was sold in 1918 and divided into building plots, and the hall was demolished in 1926. Part of its grounds survives as Chaddesden Park, with much of today’s suburb built on the former estate.
