Repairs in Borrowash

Getting an appliance repaired in Borrowash

Our engineers repair appliances across Borrowash and Ockbrook, on the eastern side of Derby. Both villages are in DE72, along with Draycott and Breaston further east, which have pages of their own.

With a tumble dryer, tell us which kind you have. Vented dryers push damp air out through a hose, condenser dryers collect the water in a tank, and heat-pump dryers recycle warm air and take longer by design. Each fails in different ways, so the type, and whether the drum turns and the dryer heats, points the engineer to the likely cause.

Before we arrive

Three things that help the visit.

  1. Find the model number

It’s on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back. A photo of it, and of any error code, helps the engineer bring the right parts.

  2. Tell us how it’s fitted

Freestanding or built in, stacked, in a utility room or garage. Clear the way, but leave the appliance where it is.

  3. Mention access and parking

A permit, a gate code, a shared entrance or stairs. A quick note helps the engineer arrive on time and prepared.

Booking a repair in Borrowash

Do you cover Ockbrook too?

Yes. Ockbrook shares the DE72 district with Borrowash, and our engineers cover all of it. Put your full postcode into the quote form to confirm your address and see the labour price.

Do you also cover Spondon, Draycott and Breaston?

Yes. Draycott and Breaston are in DE72 with Borrowash, and Spondon, just across the A52, is in DE21. Each has its own page with local details, and the quote form confirms any address in those districts.

Does the online quote include parts?

No. The quote covers labour: the engineer finding the fault and carrying out the repair. If a part is needed, the engineer tells you which one and what it costs, and waits for your go-ahead before fitting it.

How soon can an engineer come to Borrowash?

Visits are available on the same or next day where the diary allows. Pick a preferred day and a morning or afternoon slot when you book, and the team checks the engineers’ diaries and contacts you to confirm the appointment.

About Borrowash

Borrowash grew up beside the Derwent and was for much of its history the smaller neighbour of Ockbrook. Cotton mills on the river and the Derby Canal, which reached the village in 1796, brought work and growth, and by the late 1800s Borrowash had become the larger of the two. The canal was abandoned by the 1960s but is now the subject of a restoration project.

Up the hill, Ockbrook has one of England’s rarer historic communities. The Moravian Settlement founded there in 1750 is one of only three in the country, with red-brick Georgian buildings, a church and tree-lined paths that still give the village its character.
