Repairs in Draycott

Getting an appliance repaired in Draycott

Our engineers repair appliances in homes across Draycott, the Derbyshire village east of Derby between Borrowash and Breaston. It’s in the DE72 district.

If the washing machine won’t spin, try a smaller, evenly spread load once: a single heavy item such as a bath mat can unbalance the drum, and the machine will refuse to spin to protect itself. If it still won’t spin, the cause may be water that hasn’t drained, a worn drive belt or a motor fault, and the engineer tests each before recommending a part.

Before we arrive

Three things that help the visit.

  1. Find the model number

It’s on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back. A photo of it, and of any error code, helps the engineer bring the right parts.

  2. Tell us how it’s fitted

Freestanding or built in, stacked, in a utility room or garage. Clear the way, but leave the appliance where it is.

  3. Mention access and parking

A permit, a gate code, a shared entrance or stairs. A quick note helps the engineer arrive on time and prepared.

Booking a repair in Draycott

Is this Draycott in Derbyshire?

Yes. This page covers Draycott east of Derby, between Borrowash and Breaston in the DE72 district. Put your full postcode into the quote form to confirm your address.

Does a visit to Draycott cost more than one in Derby?

No. The labour price depends on the appliance, its make and how it’s fitted, not on the distance from the city, so a Draycott address is quoted the same way as a Derby one.

Does the online quote include parts?

No. The quote covers labour: the engineer finding the fault and carrying out the repair. If a part is needed, the engineer tells you which one and what it costs, and waits for your go-ahead before fitting it.

How soon can an engineer come to Draycott?

Visits are available on the same or next day where the diary allows. Pick a preferred day and a morning or afternoon slot when you book, and the team checks the engineers’ diaries and contacts you to confirm the appointment.

About Draycott

Draycott’s industrial history is still visible at the mills on Market Street. The complex grew in stages during the nineteenth century, with cotton processing followed by lace manufacture. Its brick factory buildings connect the village to the textile industry that once employed people across this part of Derbyshire.

The mills also changed with the needs of local businesses. Later tenants included bicycle-component manufacturers alongside textile firms, so the buildings tell a broader story of manufacturing as well as lace making.
